On 9 September 2024, the final event of the LOLABAT project will take place at RINA Consulting in Milan, Italy. The event will gather the project's consortium partners, the Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA), BRIDGE representatives and other EU-funded projects.
The leader of WP3 "Innovative and Low Environmental Impact Hydrometallurgy", Benjamin Wilson from Aalto University, will take part in Roundtable 1: Advancements in Battery Technology and Sustainable Material Solutions for Production, Recycling, and Supply Chain Management in the EU.
Check the agenda below:
Background information:
For the European Union, it is essential to address the entire battery value chain and life cycle, encompassing everything from raw material sourcing and advanced materials innovation to modeling, production, recycling, second-life applications, and life cycle and environmental assessments. The 17 partners involved in the LOLABAT project are focused on developing an innovative battery chemistry: the Rechargeable Nickel-Zinc Battery (RNZB). LOLABAT is designed to meet Europe’s pressing demands for energy security, autonomy, and sustainability by developing a battery technology that offers both high energy and power densities at an affordable cost.
Registration for the event is still open, and those interested are encouraged to reach out to the event coordinator for further details: nora.ganzinelli@rina.org.
